Who are our students?
Bop Htaw students travel from all parts of Mon State, Southeastern Burma, to participate in our two year, residential program.
To attend, all students must have passed the tenth grade, standard exam. Additionally, students must upgrade their English capacity to an intermediate level by the end of the 1st year in order to continue and graduate from the Bop Htaw program. While most of the students have recently finished high school, select students come with other work experience. Many have spent their years after high school teaching within Mon State primary schools. Currently, Bop Htaw has 19 students of which more than 60% are female. |
